Demi:
She slipped into her jeans that hugged her legs nicely and threw on any top. She ran out of the door, already late for her job. She became more and more stressed as she waited for her train to arrive. With a sigh of relief, she greeted the R train which seemed as if it was trying her patience. She finally reached her destination. Times Square. As she was making her way to Starbucks, the famous coffee place, her heel felt the need to irritate her some more. She couldn't believe her luck. She escaped from her shoe and nearly fell as she was walking to the edge of the sidewalk so no one would scold her for causing traffic. It was the city. You were not allowed to stand around in the middle of everything. She dug into her handy purse looking for any type of paper. She quickly peeled off the gum from the edge of her shoe and made her way to buy her daily cup of coffee.
Joe:
He was conflicted. The suit said everything. He scrutinized his closet and took out something that at least satisfied him. He had a presentation today and wasn't about to be unsuccessful because of his improper attire. He quickly took off in his silver ferrari, a present from his father. For what? He had no idea. He parked his car in the crowded city by paying someone to move. That day, he chose a different Starbucks. He had slept with the cashier and didn't call her back. That happens too often nowadays. Nonetheless, he never liked confrontations, but he was about to earn himself one anyway.

She was relieved to make it to the front of her line. Her order was on the tip of her tongue until she was interrupted. Her head never turned more quickly. She glared at the individual who dared postpone her coffee. He just paid her a polite glance with an expression of an apology. He placed his request for a Decaf Caffe Verona before turning to Demi.
"Excuse me. Do you know the meaning of a LINE?" She nearly became taller when she yelled, or at least more intimidating. Always a sign of confidence.
"Right. Sorry. I just really needed my coffee. Here." He placed a twenty into her hands only to receive a grimace.
"I don't want your money! AND YOU ORDERED DECAF. You didn't really need anything! You just like being Mister Hey I have money."
"Miss, may I help you?" The cashier politely asked.
"HOLD ON." She nearly made the man jump. "I-I mean, yes. Iced Coffee. Trenta." She turned to look for Joe after paying to give him a piece of her mind. "You!" She quickly made her way towards him.
He rolled his eyes.
"Who do you think you are? Huh?" She continued ranting until they called her order.
"I apologized isn't that enough?" He worked hard to sound sincere, but the words came out with an air of displeasure.
"You did not!"
"You ordered the largest size on the menu..." His brows furrowed. "Jesus. You really did need your coffee."
"Well, my morning hasn't been that great. With the lateness, the heat, the gum. Oh my god don't even get me started on the gum." She realized what she was saying and who she was saying it to. "And then you!"
"Alright, alright. I'll make it up to you." He finally gave in. But she wasn't asking for anything.
