  • it was my pleasure to know harry for 20 years.. we had some real fun times up here in new england when he traveled here with cj...all the pics, the times ive played with him, and the home recordings we made are forever cherished....like it says below, harry had a way of making a nobody like me feel special... only it was him that was special...his fans loved him and he is missed.

  • sorry for the typos above. Here was this great bluesman, and I'm just some fan, and he treated me like I was his lifelong friend. Hope to meet up with you again someday and watch you play the triangle through your legs. You brought a lot of joy to my life, my friend. RIP Harry.

  • Harry befriended me when I was a fan of C.J. Chenier's back in the 90's. My favorite memory was backstage at the Barns of Wolf Trap one snowy night. I had driven all the way from Phila, and had bought one of the few remaining tickets. I made my way backstage, and there was Harry sitting there with his feet propped up on a chair (he was suffering from. As soon as he saw me, he got a big smile on that gou friendly face and I gave him a big hug.

  • He used that Gibson B.B. King ES-335, and he had a modded silver-faced Fender Twin with SRO speakers. He always used one of those big triangle picks too. He had such great stage presence. Funky player.

  • Big Daddy Harry was the real deal. A survivor, and a real bluesman. I played with him in C.J. Chenier's band, and it was unforgettable experience. I miss you Harry. You're always in my heart.

  • dis my cousin r.i.p 2 him
