Why the hell would you post a stupid comment like that on a De Dannan clip?! The Bothies were amazing but comparing them to De Dannan...a fools game!
Only trend-hopping wankers would make a comment like that.

And for "jeroendevries"...the point that "ithacamarkb" was trying to make is that the box player on THIS recording is Mairtin O'Connor not Jackie Daly. Anyone who has a modicum of interest in this band knows that Jackie was Mairtin's predecessor as the box player in De Dannan - both top-notch players but I preferred Mairtin...in any case tell us something we don't know.

Nice to hear the boys diving into two great reels from Ed Reavy at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. As this was 1986, and Ed Reavy still living in Philadelphia - he only died in 1988 - maybe he was there and listening? In any case a respectful tribute from De Danann to the great composer.
