We depart Lethbridge, Alberta, and follow the VFR route in our Cessna 182 through the Rockies. We fly to Pincher Creek, then navigate the Crowsnest Pass, passing Crowsnest Mountain, Sparwood and Cranbrook along the way. After landing at Creston, British Columbia, we return, passing over Frank Slide.

  • excellent video, I've flown to sparwood from lethbirdge and back, but I have always wanted to cut through the mountains direct to fairmont over whiteswan lake. How long was the flight to creston from lethbridge?

  • @naterater123 Thanks. The flight was about 1.5 hrs for each direction of flight.

  • Amazing flight, ive spent many hours in a cherokee flying the Alberta west country out of CYQF, truly amazing! thanks for the videos.I look forward to more.

  • I am guessing he sticks to the published VFR route for safety reasons. I would not want to fly direct in a 182. Maybe a Mooney or Bonanza? But I am not a pilot. Just a self taught GA enthusiast thinking about getting a license so what do I know.

  • Kewl Video Guys ! I always wanted to fly thru the CNP.. Easily see Frank Slide and CN Mtn before you zoomed in ! Is it Max Alt ofthe Aircraft that sends you thru the valleys.. or just the scenery ? Jer in Leth..
