REALLY RONNIE VAN ZANT, STEVE AND CASSIE GAINES ARE BURIED IN ORANGE PARK A PART OF JACKSONVILLE.. AND ALLEN COLLINS IS BURIED NEXT TO HIS WIFE AND FAMILY...THEY ARE AT PEACE BUT THEIR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER...I LOVE YOU GUYS AND THANKS JOHNNY FOR KEEPING YOUR BROTHERS DREAM ALIVE....

Ronnie was originally buried right next to Steve Gaines in Orange Park, however his grave was vandalized and he was reburied next to his parents in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.  Coincidentally Leon Wilkeson is buried about 20 feet away from Ronnie. Both are with their families, Leon with his parents, Ronnie with his. Allen Collins is buried in this same cemetery, too, but on the other side of the highway. It's a big cemetery.

When I went to "ORANGE PARK" to visit the grave sites of Ronnie, Steve and Cassie, I asked where Allen was buried. I was told a family cemetery.

Allen's wife Kathy died in 1980 from complications during a miscarriage

Allen died in 1990..He lived for 10 years after Kathy's death, but emotionally I think he died when Kathy did

My Lord where to start? Having four close friends die in the crash, then his wife died during a miscarriage, then he had a car crash that killed his girlfriend and left him paralyzed and unable to play.. How much more hurt could one person take ?

Not sure what you mean by 'private cemetery'.. It's basically a public cemetery meaning anyone can be buried there if they have the money to buy plots
