He's freaking awesome. brilliant man.

And, to be the first to reproduce the piano sound in a synthesizer and convince people it's an actual piano (and in 1983) is quite the accomplishment in itself. I was amazed when I heard the demo. I have a keyboard from the year 2000, which doesn't even sound this good

David Foster used this particular keyboard for the staccato violin track heard on the instrumental "Love Theme from St. Elmo's Fire" (1985).
