Erik Schrody (Everlast) wrote the song after a near fatal heart attack. In hospital he reflects on his alcohol and nicotine addiction (the monster under his bed)and believes this has caused his heart attack. A beautiful muslim nurse looks after him (the angel) and tells him he has nothing to fear because Allah is looking down on him. She says "la ilaha il allah" (the lyrics at the end of the song), losely translated means "There is no god but Allah" Everlast is so moved he converts to Islam.

@pb999999999 if you would'nt be dumb you would make a comment on the song and ignore the video or just don't comment it....

Nice voice so strong and deep and santana got so much feeling, but it's a little virtuos if that's the right word for it^^
