This is my truck with a recently installed Flowmaster 40 series. Its a Single in Single out Muffler, Just have it running 2 1/4 inch from the cat to the muffler, then 2 1/4 from the cat to the tip, the tip is a 4 inch tip and is 9 inches long. I paid about 60 bucks for the muffler and tip, I think it sounds so much fucking better than the fucking glasspack that was on my truck when i bought it. Yeah i know that flowmaster mufflers are usually up to 100 bucks easily. I saw the muffler at Fleet Farm and it showed a dual out muffler with all pipes included, and the price said 40 bucks, so I grabbed it and checked out, got to my truck and it was just the muffler with a single in single out. I was mad, but then again 40 series are normally like i said around 80-100 bucks easily so i caught a good deal. Got the tip at Autozone for 20 bucks, and the pipe from the muffler to tip I got from a buddy

  • ya thats not too bad. My boat is "straight piped" no muffler, no cat, no fuckin emissions. but it is really hard to steer when it is cold outside and when i have really cold water flowing through the engine. Ive been told this is a common problem with the older GM engines

  • this is an out of date setup, its true straight piped now has been for a month or two i need to get new vid of it

  • Sound good I bet really good when your moving.

  • i wish it was, it doesn't sound anything like it does in the video, bad y pipe and stock cat makes it sound like shit, it's getting straight piped, high flow cat then y piped duals.

  • well depends, what you are doing and what you have to work with, i had it easy, original exhaust was mostly removed just cat and glasspack so it was easy, took me 20 minutes to get it in and welded and tip on. if your running it back through stock exhaust pipe just replacing the muffler prolly half hour if you know what your doing and can get the old one out easy, but mostly like and hour to two.

  • how long does it take to install 1 of those

  • yep i hated it that much it sounded like shit, if you listened to teh other video, compared to the flowmaster it sounded like nothing, but i'm going straight pipes after the cat, not loud enough for me :) but if your going to do a flowmaster 40 i suggest either putting a highflow cat in or cutting out the cat because it'll sound like that, and its not deep at all

  • yeah the older chevy's were bulletproof, mine's still running with a 305. No problems beyond it needing new a/c lol. you really hated the glasspack that much? I'm getting exhaust soon i think i'll go with a flow 40s on a straight pipe until i lift my truck then run true duals.

  • its old but its a strong running truck

  • old ass truck
