My first trip to the dry tortugas. My friend Lorenzo hooked up with what we thought was a shark, but to our delight, was a feisty mutton snapper.

  • Don't really have to go to Dry tortugas to get into some mutton action like that. Far from a monster, still a nice fish... Tortugas monster muttons are in the 20lb range. In addition, when you gaff put the pole on the fish head and pull back. Gaffing a fish in stomach makes the meat spoil quicker. A fish of that size should be netted or gilled into the boat.

  • Why is the boat never big enough when you have a nice fish ON! Nice catch

  • u were freakin me out when after u gaffed it u held it over the water for a few seconds..sick fish

  • really no need to gaff it, but nice catch

  • Next time net it

  • Nice double header. In general I dont gaff my own but it seems to me like yall were doing just fine. Nice job.

  • nice. Watch out for swinging lead!

  • The camera man could get a person sea sick.

  • nice fish but you need to be way more organized on ur boat

  • yea u suck at gaffing
