Budgie Breeding Journal 2 01-25-12

This is the second journal entry that includes video taken on January 25th 2012. This video illustrates the beginning of the breeding process. You can see that the male is trying to get the females attention and brings awareness to the fact that there is a nest box. The female then goes inside the nest box and modifies the nest box to her liking. She will do this until she feels ready to mate. After they have mated eggs should follow. Thanks for watching. I never knew that about Budgies I am a breeder but recently started attempting to breed them. I have a question how do you sex your Budgies?

@iBored91 Females have a white cere (not in breeding condition) or a Brown cere (breeding condition). Males have a Blue Purple or pink cere (lutino, albino or recessive pieds)

Hi!! I'm breeding my birds also, but I just want to know how big of a cage will you need? And what do you feed them exactly? And does the male normally chase the female? Haha
