First Darkness recreates the journey of an artist reconnecting with life after her friend dies. The artist reflects that while in the midst of grief she continues to make art, painting and printmaking through a time of loss.

About the artists, filmmakers Wyllie O Hagan
Wyllie O Hagan -- visual artists and filmmakers, Denise Wyllie and Clare O Hagan have been working together in London, England since 2001. Wyllie O Hagan tackle and deliver huge art projects, ambitious in scale and concept conveying complex aspects about the human condition. With their wide professional experience they utilize a range of media including moving image, land art, installation, paintings and prints.
The scale of their work range from small works on paper to a monumental transient land art the size of a football pitch. One project "Transformations in Science and Art", a 42 metre cross media artwork is on permanent exhibition in the Royal Mint Building, London.
Wyllie O Hagan's award winning moving image artworks have appeared both in gallery exhibition and screened at film festivals internationally. Most recently:

This is very lovely and reflects my currant mood and status! I am a new widow of a husband who adored and protected me and was my best friend for 47 years! But I am moving on & getting stronger (that which doesn't kill me, makes me stronger)! You are truly artists, my good friends! Bravo!
