I was taking the Damen bus home after my blues harp class at the Old Town School of Folk Music on Chicago's north side. It's recommended in this class that you bring a recording device so you can listen to the demonstrations while you practice at home. Well, the only portable recording device I have is my digital camera, which records video.
The bus driver got off at Ashland and Foster, and I thought he was done and was changing shifts with another bus driver -- hey, the other bus driver could have been waiting inside the convenience store!
When I realized it wasn't a simple switch, I remembered that I had my digital camera with me and, as subtly as I could, whipped it out to catch the driver in the act of taking a break while there were passengers waiting on his bus!
Sure enough, after about five or six minutes, he comes back on the bus from the convenience store, with a bottle of water in his hand.
I tried to get the run number in case CTA wanted to investigate, but it never showed up on the screen.
