i know it was a rumour but i was really really hoping they would showcase their new imac =(

because MAC product doesn't need more exposition, they have a huge reputation and attending those event is a waste of money and time in their opinion (this isn't my personal opinion, it was said by apple)

They don't need the event anymore since they have the Apple Stores. And that they don't like coming out with products to match the schedule of a single event.
