Notice how "under God" is not in the pledge,neither in the book he's reading,or when he recites it.

Thats because "under God" was deceitfully added in 1954.

@jamdeeder To me, it represents one specific religion, over the religions and non-belief of anyone else. What about other faiths? What about non-believers? I guess they can either get with it or get out? For those groups, "GOD" is not exactly "greatness" as you see it. Please don't think I'm against your right to believe. Just also considering the rights of everyone else as well. Separation of church and state is to protect EVERYONE, not just atheists.

"THE USA WAS FORMED AS A CHRISTIAN NATION!!!!!" (lol) By deists yes. but as far as an official religion? I don't think so! Separation of church and state? We atheists sure appreciate it, but it's main purpose is to prevent the religion of the majority violating the rights of any OTHER religion's followers. For example, I highly doubt that Jews, Muslims, etc... have much affection for a Christmas play in public schools. Prayer in the formal classroom? Who shall we pray to? God? Allah?

without "under GOD" it lacks something great ... GOD. to me "GOD" adds "greatness" to our pledge! It will always be "under God" to me...
