Fantastic job! I don't know what you were talking about with the mistakes. That was really good! Don't worry though, your hands won't always shake when you play.
Keep up the playing! Take care.

BTW folks, you can hear an original Hammond demo 33 1/3 LP of the S6 here:
Google "hammond chord organ s6 demo"

@SebSirois Thanks for the comments. I'll take a look for the keyboardmuseum. I CAN play real well at times, but not so great other times. But I always enjoy it :)

Thank you for this series of videos. I have read about the S6 and now it's great to see it demonstrated.
I notice a regular periodic click on the soundtrack while you are playing -- like a scratch in a vinyl record. Is that noise coming from the Leslie?

@Claudius131 Thanks for your comment : ) The record scratch sound happens every time I record the organ, and I'm not 100% sure what causes it. I THINK it's the automatic recording level the camera has. I've recorded the organ from far away before, and it still has that clicking. I originally thought maybe it was electronic interference caused by the organ itself and the camera, but I think it's' the camera trying to keep the noise at a proper level.

@Claudius131 I have a digital voice recorder, but when I try to record the organ, the organ is overpowering, and the recording level is way too high. So I'm guessing the recorder doesn't have automatic recording level----I'll have to play with that sometime I guess. As long as the camera can record it, I'm ok. But otherwise, I don't have the equipment to do any better.

@drewb52
Try to play a loud chord just before you start and this should ste the auto volume to a suitable level
bobbell9 1 year ago
@bobbell9 The recording level in my digital camera apparently checks the volume level every second or two, which is why you hear the clicking that sounds like a record being played - at least that's what I THINK is causing the clicking sound.
However, my digital voice recorder doesn't have automatic volume level at . I have to experiment by placing it farther away from the organ speaker, and playing at softer volume levels. The organ completely overwhelms it. Experiments are needed..

Someone just gave me a S-6...There is only one note that doesnt make any sound...I wonder if you know if repairing this kind of organ is expensive...
DrDoomOhYeah 1 year ago
@DrDoomOhYeah ---It really depends on what's causing that one note not to play. You can expect at least a $40 charge just to have someone come and look at it. BUT, being only the one note, maybe it would only cost you another $15 or $20. ----hard to say. I COULD be really expensive, but when the guy shows up to fix the organ, you can ask him to look into the problem and give you a diagnosis before he makes the actual repair. He can tell you how much more it would cost for the repair.
