I have just become certified in Reiki Level 1. My teacher told me that we do not touch the arms and legs, only the torso and head. Does that vary?

@blabby102 it is life force energy. Basically every living thing has a life force. Reiki believes that this energy is directed or moves along the spine in seven different places called chakras. Each chakra moves in a certain direction, and has a certain way it balances the person in mind, body, and spirit.

It varies from person to person. I can feel the flow of energy and where it's blocked for starters, but it's pretty comples as to exactly what I feel or how I feel it
