  • Why is our Galaxy named "The MILKY way"?

  • Hello.. As your probably know, the Milky Way Galaxy is a spiral band of dust and stars in our galaxy. When taking a look at any galaxy, they too look to be milky way galaxies highlighted within dark and light dusty bands. It's a name / label = The Milky Way Galaxy! Don't quote me on it. The truth may be out there!. :)

  • What is the name of the background music? its amazing.

  • It is great music! Thanks to youtube and the artist, I was able to use it with my video freely.

    Audio information for this video

    Artist: Jonn Serrie

    Song: Continuum

    Album: Century Seasons

    Time: 04:59

    Genre: Easy Listening

    :)

  • Where did you fine the image of the MilkyWay panorama near the end @4:47?

  • Sorry, I think you may have missed my response. I tried to send it twice and it didn't post. I am starting to think youtube doesn't allow links in the comment box.

The MilkyWay panorama was found on the ESOdotORG website. My video post has been updated with annotations that explain a bit about the panoramic scene and credits.

    Thanks for your interest!

  • the color is like milk.

  • Thank you :)

  • Back to your question..

The constellations, Milkyway arms, Oort clouds and other masses will be seen while panning our solar system. Have we passed through the solar ecliptic plane? Yes, on a seasonal basis. Let's hope we don't escape it or that the heliosphere continues to shrink.

  • It looked as though we would have passed through the Ecliptic plane in 2007 considering it panned past the Mily way? No?

  • Sweetness
