Goodbye Shenmue - Best Tribute

Yu Suzuki has retired. After 10 years, all hope of Shenmue III is lost. This is my emotional fairwell.
Thank you for the best games I have ever played, Shenmue is the ultimate unfinished masterpiece.

My version of Shenmue III:

Lan Di kidnaps Shenhua & Joy. Ryo tracks down & frees Joy. He learns that Lan Di is using Shenhua to get info on how to use the mirror. The mirrors unleash powers to the holder: Lan Di gets the power of the Dragon & Ryo gets the power of the Phoenix. Ryo destroys Lan Di's organization & it comes down to the ultimate final battle. Ryo defeats Lan Di, has a flashback of what his friends have said to him, has mercy on Lan Di & walks off into the sunset carrying Shenhua.

its never goodbye shenmue always have faith the best game of all time will be completed. i really feel that the gamers of today have not had a taste of a true game like shenmue. its the best game i have ever played and their will never be another game to take its place.

One could just add lots of clotes, mini games/jobs, optional events and sub plots, using the huge amount of memory modern sistems have. Maybe the combat sistem could be revised, but it was already very nice. All those things, except maybe the clotes, would require a lot of work other than memory, tough.

I still hold out hope. Remember that many people thought there would never be a Marvel vs Capcom 3.

The popularity of games like Heavy Rain, Assassins Creed, and Alan Wake, could open the path to a new Shenmue. The biggest problem is it would have to be updated to modern gaming standards; more fluid controls, and the kind of freedom of movement seen in Assassin's Creed (climbing, moving across rooftops, etc), Ryo being able to buy clothes, his energy dropping if he does not eat or sleep..

i loved this game. I played the 1st Shenmue game on the Dreamcast when I was a kid. Played the 2nd Shenmue on the Xbox in my early teen years, and very emotionally disappointed to find out that I can't finish this masterpiece of a game :(

shenmue 3 still could be made.sega are putting shenmue 1 and 2 on xbla and psn if they sell they could get the devs of shenmue to do it most of them work on the yakuza series.the storys all done concept art etc.just hope everyone buys them.
