Personnel: The Swingle Singlers with John Lewis(p),Milt "Bags" Jackson(vib) Percy Heath(b),Connie Kay(ds) Recorded September 27 & October 30,1966,Paris
@mrperryjthomas Right. And not only would there be more comments/views on these videos, but society and people's individual lives would be greatly improved and enriched. I studied Economics in college, but I so grateful that my University required a breadth of study...I took some serious musicology courses and fell madly in love with ancient music. I can't imagine what my life would be like without this music and it is sad to think that so many other people DO live without it!
@mrperryjthomas Yes it's sad that alot of music isn't appreciated because people don't learn enough about music to understand it. Most music tries to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and that's depressing. I don't know if you've heard any of our more modern music, but if you're interested you can hear our new album Ferris Wheels for free at our website, I would be interested to know what you think of the more modern stuff.
@Dinkyswingle The sad thing about appreciating this kind of music,is that for the
most part, not enough people do.I believe if a committed effort to introduce kids to not only music like this, but other types of serious music as well in grade school,
there would be more comments on great recordings like this.I used to hear music like this on commercial radio, but that was in another era, unfortunately.
es notable este tema... y todos los de los swingle singers... tengo este albúm en disco de 33 y el sonido es espectacular... mucho mejor que los equipos digitales de hoy.
