So the Supercub didnt quite make it to 500 feet after 3 takeoffs on its little 7 cell battery pack and my digital camera strapped to its back. And I broke the prop on landing. My advice to anyone looking at a Hobbyzone SuperCub : This plane is great but get the 8 cell pack and it likes soft fields much better than concrete runways.

How heavy is your camera? The plane cant lift much weight at all. That's what it looks like to me. Extra weight and extra drag is holding it back.

The camera isnt all that heavy but considering the materials used in making the Supercub it is about the equivalent of strapping a dead horse on top of a cessna.
