@engineer1260 you are more likely to have diesel leak into the oil that way. the decompressor is for starting with a handle

Its a TEF20 , Sorry , what else do you think the decompression lever is for , just so you know this way it leves diesel in the cylinders , ready for the next time your start it , yes, you can use the fuel cut off lever , but I prefere to leve the pump charged , thanks for your comment ,

Yes Sir, I would , Ive used this way for years , and it is the way most of the older engines where stop , even old motorcycles had a decomp lever , what happens is it just lowers the compression , so the engine hasent enough compression to firer the fuel , so the fuel tends to sit in the cylinder , helps stop the cylinders from rusting and stops the piston rings from locking up in there groves, if the tractor is not used all the time , I have a website put 1260engineer into google ,
