Drying sheets in my 2004 AEG Lavatherm 57560 tumble dryer. Sorry about the light quality - the dryer is in a dark corner of the garage.

The camera picks up the noise of the pump quite well - normally in real life you just hear a "whoosh" of air.

  • Cool, nice dryer. Love AEG :)

  • hehe yeah i love it :-) last of the real AEG dryers too

  • Cool! Yours is not nearly as noisy as my old one!

  • Hehe - it's noisier than it was in the house as the garage is very echoey! Great dryer though, I love it, although it isn't as quiet as the Miele T284 we have in the house, it dries bigger loads better because you can select low heat (Special care) on any cycle whereas on mum's T284 it only has one low temperature setting and that's on normal dry. Didn't you have the same dryer? If so that means we had the same washer and dryer!

  • Yes, a Miele is even more quiet than an AEG ;)

I had the 57760, but Mielelover owns it now. I think that the only difference is the display with countdown ;)

But I do find that you have a good taste at washers&dryers, though *lol*

  • hehe why but of course :-D. Mine was the 57560 which was the cheap condenser - I bought it when they stopped producing the AEG designed dryers (just before they went to the Zanussi drums) so got a dryer that was worth £549.99 for £399.99 in the sale! Same with my 86741, it was supposed to be £700 but I got it for £450!

You have good taste in washers too. Your dryer matches my W2652 - watch those videos if you haven't already :-p x

  • Shame its the last, love it. We have a crappy dryer :(

Sorry for delay and thanks again :)

  • nope - it's only a delay timer. As you press the button, 3h, 6h, or 9h lights up across the display. It doesn't have a countdown :-(

  • is the display broken?
