Coven - One Tin Soldier (1973 MGM version)

Here is Coven's 2nd version of One Tin Soldier (originally a 1969 single by Original Caste). This was a moderate hit in 1973 and again in 1974. It's a bit faster than Coven's original Warner Brothers release from 1971, but very similiar (it was arranged and conducted by the same person). I actually like this version better.

I think this version was used in the third movie, "Billy Jack goes to Washington".

This isn't bad, but I think the original has more emotion poured into it, it just isn't fancy in any way. And I mean the one this is a cover of, not the one this band did of this same song before. Don't get me wrong, this is really well done, it just, for me personally, doesn't carry the same amount of emotion, s'all.

This is the best version (in my opinion) . I'm a drummer and this version has a very tasty drum track. Wish I knew who it was.. Anyone know? Someone told me a young Jeff Porcarro was involved. anyone know? wouldn't suprise me a bit

I love both Coven versions of this song(the one from Billy Jack is fantastic!!)..but under headphones,this one does sound a little rawer and more rockin' and less orchestrated!!Jinx's voice is absolutely the best!I love everything she does!!Coven rules!!
