I thought the first Ju On film came out in 2000. We know the 2nd one did that year but not the 2nd one?

@southeparkfreak The first Ju-on: the Grudge movie released in 2003 is actually the third Ju-on in the chronology, when a social worker is going to help an old lady in the house and gets victim of the curse.
The chronology of Ju-on series is this one:
1st - Ju-on - TV movie in 1999
2nd - Ju-on 2 - TV movie in 2000
3rd - Ju-on: the Grudge - Cinema release in 2003
4th - Ju-on: the Grudge 2 - Cinema release in 2003

@southeparkfreak The TV version is this one and it is the original Ju-on, the first from the series released in 1999. This one focuses on the events that happened in the day Kayako and Toshio were killed, when Kobayashi (Kayako's love interest) goes to the house and finds the corpse of Kayako's still fresh. Takeo is still alive in this movie.
The "normal version" is not a "normal version", it is in fact the first cinema release of a Ju-on movie and the storyline is different from this one.

The original Japanese Ju-On 1 and 2 are not this one at all. I watched it 7 years ago.
