@goalmaster89 no. Fixie/Fixed Gear are only the term for a Fixed Gear Bike , not that their Brakeless or Not...

@cookiebaron Well actually in my experience the fixed gear riders I've come across on the bike path are rather aggressive. Once a pair of fixie riders mashed past me after I passed them going 15 mph, edging me on. So I passed them again and it was one of the best feelings in the world, destroying their confidence. My friend was actually with me but even though he was on a road bike, he was too slow to overtake them.

@chalenger42 have you ever ACTUALLY rode fixed before? I mean, long enough to actually learn how to do it, not just getting on one for a minute and going "WHOA THIS IS CARAZYYYY!!" cause I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that you haven't.

@distortion041 wow you must be lance armstrong or something if you can ride faster on a bike with gears than someone on a singlespeed minding their own business who doesn't care about racing you. 2 words bro, BAD-ASS!

@gaz545 But why a fixie? Its impractical and unsafe, people buy fixies cos its a blind trend.

When I see a fixie rider (or riders) riding with vans and skin tight jeans on a trail, I just mash and can usually out do them on my road bike... It's so satisfying to leave those pretentious assholes in the dust. It's my favorite part of biking :D

@nilo2209 lol thats all that matters, that it doesnt look like a douchemobile XD

The only thing I don't like about fixies is those fixie riders who insist on riding without a brake. I ride a fixed-gear quite frequently but I would not trust myself to stop with only back-pedalling. Just have at least a front brake for gods sake. I won't think you're a bigger man when you hit some poor old woman who steps out in front of you one day.

too much of a pshyco to follow lol.

You see me and you'll know I'm not a hipster, you see me on a Fixed, then you'll know I'm not a wannabe. I ride them because the rush that it gives me. And no matter how many accidents I've been it, I get right back up and ride.
Why all the hate for people riding fixies? Not all of them are hipster tossers. It's more cringe-worthy when you see these people with all their equipment that cost thousands, racing vest, riding like a d'head.

@steinfletch I don't think there is much hate here. I've just bought a fixed gear bike, waiting for delivery at present but it will be my commuting bike.
