A small segment from CHAPTER 16 = THE MASTER KEY "Nam . . . means to fuse with or to become one with myoho--renge--kyo, Missus Sheep . . . and myoho--renge--kyo, represents the three fundamental laws that make up the tri--combination that I've just told you about. By facing east, in the same direction that the land flows, and chanting the words Nam--myoho--renge--kyo over and over rhythmically each day . . . or Namu--myoho--renge--kyo, as some do," Gang--Gang explains studiously, "we're able to build up an incredible force from within that can pierce through even the thickest walls of our karma and allow us to reach directly into our ninth consciousness. Of course, the more sincerely it's done, the more powerful and faster its effect will be!"
"Really?" asks Countliss——looking a little confused by it all.
"Hahahaha . . . well it certainly works that way for me Missus Sheep!" insists Gang--Gang with a hearty laugh. "So if it works that way for me, then it's bound to work that way for you as well!"
Countliss Sheep still isn't sure whether to believe it or not. . . "Hmmmmm. . . " she sighs.
"So what's to say we wouldn't get the same result from saying any set of words over and over again?" asks Noh.
"You can recite any words that you wish, Mister Bullcow, but I can't promise that you'll get anywhere near the same good outcome!" explains Gang--Gang confidently.
"Would you mind giving us all a clearer explanation of exactly what you mean by 'outcome', Mister Cockatoo," asks Flirticia——who also has a strong degree of doubt and uncertainty in her voice.
"Things will start happening both within and around you, Miss McPigstyle," explains Gang--Gang, "such as changes for the better in your attitude . . . a clearer and more precise understanding of who you truly are . . . a greater tolerance towards the things that usually get under your skin or upset you . . . feelings of goodness and self confidence. I could go on and on forever, but in one way or another, you will receive actual proof from within your own life and become much wiser and indeed happier for it. The thing is, if you really want to know what it can do for you, then there's only one real way you're ever going to be able to find out and that's to try it for yourself and see what happens!"
Flasher Horse looks mesmerised. . . "Hmmmm . . . very interesting, Mister Cockatoo, he says in a half--whisper and with a slight rising of his eyebrows, very interesting indeed,"
"Perhaps it might help us all to understand it a bit better if you explain the meaning of each of these strange--sounding words one by one, Mister Cockatoo," suggests Millicka Bullcow with a smuggish look on her face.
"Certainly, Misses Bullcow, I'll be more than happy to try to do that for you all, but it'll only be a very basic explanation."
"Oh that'll do just fine thank you!" she agrees pompously.
"The word myoho represents the Law of Nature, the first law of the tri--combination." Gang--Gang meticulously explains as everyone listens intently. "Specifically speaking, myo of myoho is the state of non--manifestation and ho is when anything from within myo becomes manifest . . . such as when a craving pops up or we remember something. Similar to myoho, the next word renge also has two sides to it . . . cause and effect."
"Oh I gitcha!" Zir Crikey butts in excitedly. "I reckon that'd be tha same as tha second law o' tha tri--combination!"
"Hehe . . . yes, that's quite right Zir Crikey!" replies Gang--Gang——tickled pink that Crikey was able to connect the two together of his own volition. "And these two laws, myoho and renge are able to function together simultaneously due to kyo, the third and final law of the tri--combination. That's because kyo is the invisible thread that not only fuses together all Life through the past, present and future, but also allows myoho to integrate with renge . . . and although this word has several other meanings . . . in this instance, it represents the universal Law of Communication. As I was just explaining a moment ago, whenever anyone chants the words Nam--myoho--renge--kyo on a regular basis, they will, as a matter of course, receive actual proof of its good effect coming from within their own life and surrounding environment. The reason for this is that chanting the words Nam--myoho--renge--kyo vibrates a specific sound frequency that not only permeates the universe and allows us to connect with Life's forces more effectively, but also see things much more clearly within. In doing so, we're able to gain a better perspective of who we truly are and bring forth the hidden potential and the ability we need. This in turn, allows us to cope with our obstacles more efficiently and beneficially. In other words, it allows us to manifest the wisdom and good fortune we need to change or improve our destiny. These qualities working together will eventually bring about our truest and deepest conditions of happiness!
