  • i was the last mechanic to work on this old junk before she went outta service

  • @cccgogirl1313:You actually know how to work on a bus up in New Britain?Wow its a miracle! When I was there every last bus I was on needed a freakin power wash and major tinkling.Word of advice,a bus is not junk if you actually TAKE CARE of it regardless of age.You treat it like dump it'll look that way.

  • I was there this past winter to see that and the MCI Classic.Too bad the Classic was nowhere to be seen.

  • @cccgogirl1313 I agree with him. Do better preventive maintenance work. Do not just wait till something breaks. How good something is maintained, determines how good it will be. Maybe yous are the junk that should be put out of service. Hire real mechanics. Replace parts before they break.

  • And now looks like those buses are absolutely gone :( D40LFRs have just about taken over parts of CT that didn't get their fair share of blue....

  • That D40HF sounds just like the 96 Nova Classics.

  • I can't remember when 962 got here.

We never had 9401...9402,03,04,05 were the first batch of 94s for us. 02 and 03 have gone to the big garage in the sky.

We did have 201 and 208 from Danbury, and had exactly the same problem that we had with the original RTS, being that the frames were rotting away so those are goners also

  • Since when did y'all get 962 from STAMFORD?

Also, you forgot 9412. It's holding it down in Bristol. 803 is the '08 New Flyer...it was bought in July 2008.

If I recall, didn't y'all have 9401 and 9402 earlier? Did y'all also have ex-Housatonic Area Regional Transit (Danbury, CT)'s RTS #201 with a big CT Transit sticker on the sides?

  • Sounds tight!!! Record more of these

  • NBTs last Classic 9158 is in the graveyard. We were having transmission problems with it and the CDOT decided that is was not "cost effective" to fix it.

The only remaining RTS is A135.

These are the "94" New Flyers in New Britian946,948,9404,9405,9407,962,961,9425,9426,and 9427

And of course "803" our "09" New Flyer

DATTCO has RTSs C150,152,153,154,155 and 1993 New Flyer 9319

Rumor has it both NBT and DATTCO get D40LFs by the end of this year

  • Looks a bit like an Orion V but with out the CNG tank on top.
