As you may know, Canada is having a federal Election on May 2nd, 2011, because Stephen Harper and his conservative government were found in contempt of parliament. This means they were disregarding the laws of the parliament and thus, the constitution. This is simply unacceptable behaviour from the leader of a democratic, or really, any nation. So, I urge my fellow Canadians to rise up on may 2nd, and vote. Vote for whomever you trust most, but when you do vote, remember, it's not easy to trust a leader who goes against the very constitution of the nation.

  • Your comment that Canadian voter turnout was 48% is inaccurate. The lowest voter turnout was 59.1% in the previous election in 2008.

  • @nikolai8910

Thank you for the correction. I guess my sources were wrong? I will make the correction.

  • Well said, hidemenow. Your opening statements hit the nail on the head concerning our Prime Minister.

Oh, and the song was hilariously satirical :)

  • I hope Mr. Harper does get a chance to see this Em.

Also watching the news tonight i just found out that the green party is barred from the Debates, which in a democratic society i can't help but feel thats awfully un-democratic.

  • Rich are getting richer because they are smarter then you. I'll explain.

You do realize that the Liberal Party of Canada promised to Eliminate the GST, Got a Majority, and Failed to Deliver. Harper Promised to lower taxes and give tax benefits to all Canadians. (TFSA, Income Splitting etc)

Don't blame government because you are not smart enough to actually Pay attention to the benefits you were given. You can lead a horse to water...
