Also watching the news tonight i just found out that the green party is barred from the Debates, which in a democratic society i can't help but feel thats awfully un-democratic.

You do realize that the Liberal Party of Canada promised to Eliminate the GST, Got a Majority, and Failed to Deliver. Harper Promised to lower taxes and give tax benefits to all Canadians. (TFSA, Income Splitting etc)
