Sonny was my favorite i was sad that they dident really have so many scenes with him thy should have kept these specially that last one cause its a pretty important one in the book lol man this movie makes so much more sense once you read it and they pay so much attention to the details its amazing

I honestly think that, had Coppola included the two deleted scenes from 4:29 to 8:03, it would have resulted in an even stronger film. Of the four sons, Sonny was the one character who seemed somewhat underdeveloped. Including this extra 3 mins 32 secs of footage would have shown the vulnerability behind his volatility. It would also have illustrated more the relationship the Corleone's had with the police, in that it is through an anonymous detective that Sonny learns of his father's shooting.

@lordvoldemort578 I was just saying how she tries at that point to do good for the family although she hated Michael for killing her husband, which is one good thing she does. Oh, but on another note, when she shows up with her new man, doesn't it seems like she's on coke? Sullen eyes and cheeks, garish clothing/jewelry... She just doesn't seem in her right mind there... And of course, she asks for money. Blatantly.

@mairefrances Well, anyone who gets to read the comments should be exposed to spoilers...so yes, it seems that the mom was trying to get his daughter into the movie business, and possibly offered her to Woltz. In the book it is mentioned that Hagen thought "that the poor girl had been worked on heavily on the plane", on the way back to Hollywood.

Holy crap! As wild as Santino looked on this movie, don corleone just says SIT DOWN!, and he does. Damn, if Don Corleone tells me to open my mouth, stick out my tongue and then close my mouth, I just do it, damn it...
