  • Dang I wish I was comfortable with gearbox work haha. I've heard some people have problems with their wire connections on the motors coming lose. Is that a common problem? I hate opening the pistol grip because I am never sure if the motor height is right after I put it back together.

  • @Airforceguy664 Kwa motor connecters are on really well lol I've never had mine slip off ever and if you have a buddy who is good with internals work he can help you build the gun too

  • So I really don't need those upgrade parts then right? What would they do if I had them?

  • @Airforceguy664 If you were to put in those upgrades you would get around 540 to 565 fps average depending of bbs used and also an average accuracy range of 230 to 240 feet maximum

  • just ordered the gun

  • Well I do play at a nice field in Chesapeake VA. I'm sure I can find someone to help me if i want to put upgrades in. Overall though how durable internally is the SR12 and how long should it last me with all stock parts. Also back to the 550mm barrel thing, Are you 100% sure I don't need any upgrades to run that barrel? I don't doubt you, I just don't want to ruin my gun the first time I shoot it y'know?

  • @Airforceguy664 Ahh I see but the stock Kwa barrel will not be as good as a 550mm 6.01 tbb but I personally would put a 509mm because putting on a barrel extension "mock silencer" onto the gun makes the SR12 even longer than most L96 bolt sniper variants... Also please purchase a EDGI 6.01mm tbb due to the specific design of the 2GX hop up unit because it may not work with other barrels. With just installing the barrel itself will not hurt the gun =)

  • @DeltaWinters88 I am planning on maybe using it as a DMR. I was kind of hoping I didn't have to do any internal work though. I don't have much experience with it and don't want to mess up my new 400 dollar gun. So do you think the stock kwa barrel will be about the same as a 550mm 6.01? Also will trying the 550mm I have hurt the gun if i don't install the parts you mentioned?

  • @Airforceguy664 also rub into piston head o rings and inside of air nozzle

Also it seems like you are going to use the SR12 for a DMR build maybe? If you are a G&G M140 spring with a systema type 0 cylinder, madbull grease, and a EDGI 6.01mm tbb gave me 565 fps on average with the hop up off and as high as 571 with airsoft elite .2g bbs Now with KSC .2g bbs I only averaged 541 fps but this is due to the fact that AE bbs are 5.98 in diameter and KSC bbs range from 5.95 to 5.94mm

  • @Airforceguy664 Actually tell you the truth the difference between a 550mm tbb and a 509mm tbb is so little in performance that the 550mm tbb could actually be less effective than a 509mm tbb due to the bb touching and bouncing all around the barrel for an extra 41mm might give a slightly worse accuracy theoretically. Also no you do NOT need a bore up kit. Use these parts:

Systema Type 0 Cylinder NON BORE UP

Madbull cylinder grease (its black) and rub into cylinder o rings and
