After witnessing the election of Barack Obama, the 44th president of the united states, the spacemen confronted a quandry of astronomical proportions. Now that their mission to identify the leader was complete, what would they do next? Would they return home in their spaceship? Or would they.... stay?
Needing time for reflection, the spacemen took to their earthcraft and put the pavement to their rubbers. Ouch. For their soul-searching site, they sought a spot full of that ol' soul: New Orleans [nyoo oh-lay-AHN]. The city reflected their conflicting emotions: optimism laced with hopelessness; A spirit of celebration bound by a thread of desperation. The spacemen did the Big Easy ... and learned that life here was anything but.
They came to earth expecting peace, the unified utopia described in Eisenhauer's 1958 transmission. What they found 50 years later was not what they had imagined. Humans saw themselves as divided, distant from each other. Humans spoke of a distaste for their leaders. Humans bemoaned their myriad problems with energy, health care, colors, and money, money, money. Would humans ever stop complaining?!?
But wait, the spacemen had witnessed the rise of a new leader, an unlikely hero with a gift for oratory who brought new hope, who called upon all humans to join together for positive change, a man who inspired co-operation among the masses. They sensed a new optimism spreading across towns, communities, even nations... this made them want to stay, to help build Earth's new future.
Faced with impossible decisions, the spacemen searched for answers amidst the saucy saturnalia of Bourbon street. The captain stumbled through the labyrinth of clubs, bars, and balconies, dens of depravity where the juice flowed 2-4-7-3-6-5. What he found only added to his confusion.
Even on boozy Bourbon, people spoke of change needed, of hard work yet to be completed, of government failings... Of the lower 9th ward. A mysterious force compelled the spacemen to land on the site devastated by Katrina, a full three Earth-years after her fury.
The spacemen's purpose began to crystallize. The utopia they sought was, after all, within reach. Despite dire circumstances, the human race was strong and determined, hopeful for a new beginning. Their leaders were found not only in elevated seats of power. but on streets and on porches, on horseback and in coffee shops, on Union street, in every community.
And these many leaders needed help: Help building houses, Help building relationships, Help building playgrounds, Help building a new beginning.
So with their mission complete and a trusty craft secured for their safe return home, the spacemen decided to stay on, and make a new home. They decided neither to pine for the past, nor panic over the problems of the present future, but to rebuild, revive and get the lead out. On a new spaceship. With a new leader. This spaceship is round and green and blue. This spaceship is called Planet Earth. And 2008 was a new beginning for its entire crew.

Da*** boys! Now that I've post a decent video you finish your adventure! But there will be another one, I know, aliens are much more creative than human!
I want to leave a thought to the people that suffered from Katrina. Ive lived two floods, I know what it means and how much courage need you for rising again.
I subscribe you with RiverReporter. Keep on playing and singing, your real leader will feel the "magnetic vibrations" and reach you!

Wow, the spacemen decide to remain here on Earth. I guess their motherworld didn't present enough of a challenge. Still I was expecting some kind of K-Pax moment where autonomy is returned to the host bodies, probably after a heavy night of drinking. Remove the training wheels so to speak. On the otherhand, I'm not sure how J.J. Moon's and Beaujangles' host humans would respond to their new facial hair.
Great job guys. Looking forward to the next adventure.
