Ron Paul - don't believe 911 "Truthers"- cease your rhetoric

Yes, Ron Paul agreed that there should be more investigation of the events surrounding the attacks on 9/11/2001. This has been spread widely by the 911-"Truth" movement.

But you may not be aware of this up-front question asked by Fox News' Carl Cameron as well as Dr. Paul's response which should put this topic to rest. Although I wondered at the time why Cameron would ask Dr. Paul such a question, the 911-"Truth" movement and its leaders such as Alex Jones have strongly supported Dr. Paul as Cameron stated. I believe self-labeled "Truthers" have also misled many who normally would have voted for Dr. Paul to unfortunately vote against him. The self-labeled "Truth" movement unfortunately made Dr. Paul appear to be a tin-foil hat aficionado ally, which of course, he is not.

Although I disagree with much of the 911-"Truth" conclusions, behind such is at least a shade of truth. Operation Northwoods, or Northwoods Document, it's real folks:

By the way, The New American is by the John Birch Society, an organization which believes in a conspiracy, but which also backs their conclusions with much stronger evidence than that by someone like Dylan Avery or Korey Rowe. The JBS is a group which understands the importance of having a good reputation in providing accurate information.

Like Dr. Paul, I agree that there should be additional investigation. And also like Dr. Paul, I disagree with most conclusions of this reactionary, illogical, and unscientific 911-"Truth" movement. They are committing a moral wrong, breaking the 8th Commandment, The Prohibition of False Witnessing, either telling lies, stretching the real truth, or forcing a judgment on anecdotal evidence.

They are unfortunately also creating an environment where people will learn to not listen to anyone with words of warning, like a "Chicken Little" or "Boy who cried Wolf" complex. This is very unfortunate and will end up leading many more astray.

Become educated, look at everything with a critical eye, do not swallow everything you're spoon-fed. Lies are still lies, no matter the source, even from an organization which places the word "Truth" within its title.

its one thing to suggest that there were many warnings that the us ignored and the govt failed in security- and its possible the bush adm allowed it to happen to stake their mideast claims - but the people claiming a plane didnt hit the pentagon or that the socalled hijackers are alive( often told but not one stepped foward) or that the planes were remote controlled with no people on board make the 9-11 truthers look like jokes-!!!!

@cyberphant0m there was video of planes parts being found outside the pentagon as soon as police and rescue plus eyewitnesses who saw it hit so your claim is bs- as far as passports and paper- an exploison sends out pressure wave and sends it flying before the actual fireball consumes the area- its common for paper to survive - it happens all the time in car bombings- classic example is the embassy bombing in iraq paper was sent flying but humans bodies were literally turned to charred mess

@DaTekkenGod wrong there were pieces luggage and body parts found at the scene- its well documented- when a plane does a deliberate nose dive it will literally disappear- remmeber in most plane crashes a pilot is trying to save the plane and life not the opposite- you slam a plane headfirst into the ground at 500 mph and your lucky to find what they did- if anything- look at car bombings often paper items are scattered by the blast when the pressure wave sends it flying before the blast hits

Ron Paul did good because the path he was on did not allow him to state such things. But you better believe that if he is the man he has shown himself to be from my media perspective he would investigate the shit out of it. Investigation into why people ignored threats, hid footage after the fact and why large insurance fraud has been tied up into this whole mess. And not some bs about bin laden being on ice for a decade. Suspicion based on evidence is natural but based on fear and circular logic will go nowhere. Being debunked or called out on bs should engage you to research more instead of just claiming coersion on further conspiracy.
