The ultimate head-to-head season long contest ever fought imo. Freddie was the perfect cleancut Honda rider, King Kenny the oldschool roughneck.

No other riders got a lookin that year, I was rooting for the King all year. In hindsight Freddie did deserve it, even though it took me 20 years to get over it lol

Lawson y Spencer sólo coincidieron a buen nivel de Freddie entre los años 83-85.Despues de la hostia de Fred probando unas llantas de carbono para su NSR en la pretemporada del 86, ya no volvió a aparecer con garantías. la carrera del 86 en el Jarama fue la última vez que corrió en España. Hizo la Pole pero se retiró a las pocas vueltas. No recuerdo en concreto el adelantamiento a que te refieres, pero seguro que fueron varios... rafagas.
