  • Im still learning about alot of this stuff. really interesting hearing other pros comments...Im wondering if any1 can lead me to some good dmm vids. in particular, actually testing an electrical outlet with my dmm(plug in the wall!!)At my bloody ends wit. cheers...anyone!?

  • hello boss i think that this word is exact for you boss please i will be very thank full to you if you post all videos about how to use a multimeter.really we need some one like you who can go step by step to teach us using multimeter people they have different kind of videos but none of them have exact explanation of each components how to test them what are their units and how to know it is dead or not units power dimentions.if you do it it will be great kindness.it a request.

    Just got a tad confusing with american wall sockets being diff to ours in videos etc...

  • Any DMM can measure the voltage from your wall. A Fluke meter like the one in this video will most likely cost you well over a 100. If you are not measuring high frequency signals, you don't need it.

    Set your DMM in an AC VOLTAGE RANGE capable of measuring at least 120 volts (US) 220 volts (Eur).

    DO NOT attempt to measure the current or resistance of a wall outlet unless you're positive there is no power to it.

    Why are you doing this anyway? Couldn't you just plug in a lamp and check that way
