Even though big song-and-dance routines had already emerged by the early 1990s, it was Prabhu Deva, dubbed India's "Michael Jackson", who really made the dance numbers count ... even for the entire movie!! While yes Prabhu is a decent actor and a helluva dancer, the only thing remembered from "Kaadhalan" are the dances.
As you can see with this video, even the lyrics 'mukkala mukkabla' are not real words; rather, it is only random phrases to make it match with the music. yet because of prabhu's dancing, it is still a classic song to this day

Mukkala means r u circumcised? It's a racial slur in Tamilnadu.
