1:25 how did they get Tabitha to stay so still for Darrin to pop in?

I love this stuff, and it was interesting hearing some of the very subtle variations on the musical theme in the background. These promos really should have been included on the dvd sets, in my opinion.

this is my favorite show i have it on dvd also i live that girl and the flying nun have them also on dvd one thing though how come the first few season of bewitched were not original shot in color? and how come for the dvd they made the none color seasons in color?

@fromthesidelines That's fascinating, that 1972 was also the first year our family got a color television set, as well. I wonder what might have made that so -- my guess would be the Munich Summer Olympics that year was to have brought that about -- certainly ABC was making a big fuss throughout that year before that Olympics about then.

@fromthesidelines That's right. I was just a kid and thought that when the show was broadcast in color, that that meant it would be in color on our black and white TV set. I didn't understand why it was still in black and white, boy was I mad. Ha.

@imachias i don't believe it was on the original episode, but it adds a cute sense of style through her character! :)

@cybagrl Dick Sargent was no Dick York. Sargent brought down the show big time. The dynamic between Darrin and Samanth changed a lot. Sargent was a lousy actor and he was just meaner than what the character of Darrin should have been.

ABC converted its entire prime-time schedule to 100% color in the fall of 1966, 'wendy'- that's why they continually stressed their shows were "in color"...and made sure the production companies of each of those series produced "bumpers" that appeared before the start of each of those shows on the network {i.e. "Next- 'THE FBI'...IN COLOR!"}. It was a a BIG deal back then, as about half of all U.S. homes didn't have color TV's as yet (mine included; we didn't get ours until 1972!).

"F TROOP" went off the air in 1967 because Warner Bros. decided it was "too expensive" to produce a third season; executive producer William T. Orr [Jack Warner's son-in-law, and head of the studio's TV division] recalled the "front office" cancelled it, NOT ABC, because they decided the second season went $3000 over its scheduled production budget.
