When it was new .. not now :S i am planning on posting a video actually, ill let ya know. Anyways, speed of a boot time mainly determines the hard drive spec. Processor, RAM, have not much, or no, affect in the boot time.

It turns on and off real fast because its a new install of xp.

it's actually not a new install...just clean, no startup apps...and limited services...and it's only two 80gb hard disks in RAID 0

I seriously doubt your PC booted into windows in 10 seconds...that's bs...I don't even think a core2 quad at 4ghz and SSD could boot that fast...besides, my PC is 2½ years old, and my boot includes full POST, no BIOS tweaks, and no windows start-up tweaks...so shove it buddy, cause you don't know what you're talking about...

and yeah, a boot time is when the logo appears, not from the bios.

well then, i know some tweaks that could boot windows in 5 seconds, lol...especially now that i have 2 HDDs in RAID 0...i consider a boot time to be from power on, to usable desktop...
