No offense to people, it is selfish to care about someone so much that you refuse to let them do what they want. People have to fight, even if America was part of no wars, you know people would start bitching about how we have to help out other countries with wars again. Everyone is a hypocrite, we just have to learn that and accept the fact that sometimes, war is a possible solution.

@bobf1384 .... The very people they are willing to sacrifice their lives for will walk past them on the street and not offer them money so they can eat. She isn't saying not to support our troops, she's saying we need to /start/ supporting them.

@bobf1384 She wasn't saying anything bad against our troops with the yellow ribbon comment. She was commenting on the fact that for all of times Americans say things like "Support our troops", they don't want to put in any effort more than buying a ribbon. Not even our government will put forth the effort to make sure that our soldiers are taken care of once they come home

She HAS served our country. She's paid taxes, hasn't she? She's reached out to Americans through her poetry and united them, a service to our country which is divided. I may not agree with your opinion, but I will fight to my death for your right to have and speak it in this great country. I won't, however support, agree or condone the improper use of the word there/their. :-)
