Coverage from TWC with the late John Hope of Hurricane Opal, with a live shot from Pensacola, FL. as it nears closer to landfall in the Florida Panhandle in early Oct. 1995...Thanks to Tony (Hurricaneadventures) for sending me the footage.
I was about to go to Talladega AL for vacation but had to change due unforseen changes at work.
~
Opal ended up taking a darn near North route into Indiana as a Tropical storm/depression. Was very surprised as many were that Opal kept alot of strength.
I think I was 10 at the time of this hurricane, living in Pensacola and it was scary but everyone survived and that was something to be thankful about.
