Starting A Non-Profit Video - HOPE in South Africa | LegalZoom

http://www.facebook.com/LegalZoom As an expatriate South African, I felt a need to give back to the country that had given me so much. I set up a charity called HOPE in South Africa, where HOPE stands for Help Overcome Poverty through Education. Initially, I had a lot of difficulty getting non-profit status until a friend told me about LegalZoom. LegalZoom did it all for me- professionally, efficiently, and at minimal cost. We initially sent blankets, solar powered lights, and funds for the purchase of stoves. But most of the money will be used to build a library to service over 2,000 children from 9 primary schools and will be completed by the end of 2009. Construction begins this week! In the future, we intend to use funds for soup kitchens to serve children in need. LegalZoom should be congratulated for their part in helping the underprivileged halfway across the world.
