True...but needless advertisement is still needless advertisement...which Gamespot has in spades.
A billboard in MxO advertising Discovery channel? ok...well i have billboards in my city that has the same thing, so why should that be a complaint? Burnout? same thing.
A video game based website advertising shoes?!?....yeah.

That's not the problem. If the game had fake advertisements, then they wouldn't complain.
"which Gamespot has in spades."
Which all sites use to stay afloat.
Like IGN or Something Awful.

Eh...product placement in MxO actually fits because it's supposed to be in the 'real' world...so naturally a city should have billboards.
But we'll ignore the product placement and advertisements on the Gamespot homepage....yeah.

There's a difference between a website and games.
