  • A brilliant idea: to perform this piece on two harpsichords! And what a stylish and thrilling performance! Well, I did not expect anything less when the name of the great Skip Sempé is involved.

    A specialist note: most performers play the "tremblements liés" (slurred trills) in bar 37 before the beat, influenced by a widely known (but proven wrong) theory by the late Prof. Fr. Neumann. In this performance those trills are played on the beat, exactly as specified in Baroque sources. Well done!
