@BloodyCrAzYzzz The cheesy style of this cartoon was actually very popular back in the day, but this trend changed with the advent of the Batman cartoon. You might wanna check that out.
As for Americans irrationally defending cartoons, well I'm not one of them so I can't talk about them. Joseph however isn't one of them. He referred to solid facts that everyone (even anime fans and reviewers and animators) would agree on.

Obsessed anime fans (rabid fans, as I like to call them) need to realize this: 1) Comparing anime to American cartoons is like comparing apples and oranges. They are very different styles. 2) Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I personally watch anime more than cartoons, because I enjoy it more, but Disney is also amazing. And I would never criticize American cartoons. 3) Obsessed fans need to establish their opinions as opinions, rather than trying to posit them as facts.
