Explore the heritage and cultural uniqueness of Bristol, TN/VA, a city with a musical past and future with a dedication to living, working, and playing downtown.
I lived there my whole life. When I was 16, My family moved to Greensboro. NC. I am 20 now, and I've never forgotten how nice it is to live there. Next month, I'm finally moving home.
Nothing wrong with Bluff City.......At least the City of Bristol is trying to keep the downtown alive rather then just tearing down buildings. Hillbilly Music.......although you may not be a fan, Bristol is where the music started. Sad to hear the negative remarks but everyone has a right to their opinion. In this day a time you have to build on what you have, and musical history is what we have!
What a nice video of Our Town! I grew up here in the 1950's/60's and am glad to see the downtown alive again. What wonderful memories and to see it thriving is wonderful. I lived away for 28 years and returned 13 years ago. Best move I ever made. Always something to do, maybe not an "organized " event but loads of parks, small events, library events and as always The Lake. Thanks for taking the time to make the video, can't wait to send it to my friends far away.
I find this video VERY misleading. I have lived in Bristol, TN for 16 years and they make it seem like there is always something going on. There are only a FEW events that are in Bristol, TN that draw crowds like this, the main 3 being NASCAR Racing. There is a Theatre of sorts here, but rarely anything other than Hillbilly Music or Musicals. There is nothing going on in the Bristol, TN area for active adults other than a few bars and a few overpriced new restraunts downtown.
