Solves this word problem using uniform motion rt=d formula: A pilot flew from one city to another city averaging 150 mph. Later, it flew back to the first city averaging 100 mph. The total flying time was 5 hours. How far apart are the cities? Answer: 300 miles

  • where the hell did you get 500 from?

  • @vikastone: If you are referring to 2 minutes or so into the video, I am doing rate times time for the return trip, which is 5(100 - x). 5 times 100 is 500. You didn't specify where exactly you are confused. If it's somewhere else in the video, let me know where.

  • hi can you help me with this problem please, thank you.----------------- If the speed of an experimental car is decreased by 8km/h it completes a 140 km trip in 2 hours more than had it been traveling at its usual speed. Determine its usual speed.
