This is a composition based on "Raag Kalyan". It's played on acoustic guitar and its my own style of playing Indian classical with Open tunings which sounds like that of an Indian Sitar.
The equipment used is:
D'Alberto Jumbo guitar (Made in India)
L.R. Baggs M1 active pickup
Laney A1 amp
Raagini Digital Tanpura
Radel DG-60 Digital Tabla
and not to forget Sony Video Cam :)

Hope you like it.
Do leave your feedback on it.
Best,
Vaibhav

  • You are marvelous ...........

  • full wonder god bless

  • Congratulations for your creativity and inspiration in your roots!

  • Really nice and soulful composition. Keep up the good work. In my opinion the sound is more like a Sarod than Sitar.

  • Salute to your dedication and passion for guitar playing. Keep it up.

  • very nice but you might as well use a sitar!

  • 12 beats to 22 beats !? The cycle remains the same, and it sounds a Tree tal to me, which is 16 beat rhythm cycle.. Could not get you ?

Anyway, I loved your video ! You are an amazing guitar player, please keep posting.

  • i have started learning indian classical on guitar..really enjoyed a lot..it will be very helpful if you post the tabs.

  • try playing it with the harmony or else its sounding more like a sitar...whts the point having 6 strings otherwise...
