If noboby was there to try, it would never be innovation or changes in gameplay. Just look at New Super Mario Bros series on Wii 0_o where is the originality ? This is the same recipe for over 30 years! So objectively you can also think twice.

It's a lot easier to critiscm a game than finding ideas for it. As i said it's going to be different: The nitro feature is one of the very first aspect → A good idea is an idea that could be introduced in the game"You'd feel cheated and angry at these people for stealing your idea." Really? Just take a look at Minecraft creator who was so happy his idea was used when he saw Cube World and Terraria!

You're clearly very biased, since you seem to really like this game, but if you tried to look at the matter objectively, perhaps I'd make more sense to you.

It's not about which game is better, and I never even brought that up.

It's about copying someone else's idea, and then even making a profit off of it. Say you designed a game, had someone copy it, and ended up making more money off of it despite it being your game from the beginning. You'd feel cheated and angry at these people for stealing your idea.

Luckily, this wasn't the case for this game, as Mario kart is a much more successful series, but it's still a shit thing to do.

Such reasoning is the same to say that Linux-mint (or any others linux distros) are ripping off Window because this is an Os and Windows was made before them.

The goal is not to compete with Nintendo but allow people to train codding features, develop their creativity and have fun. Everyone can contribute even you.

Then the game differs from MK as far as the game development continue.

If you still don't like it you are always free to create a fork of StK with your own tastes.

So, what you're saying is that it's fine to almost plagiarise a game, because it offers people a chance to not spend money to play it that way? All I'm saying is that they could have made a racing game that wasn't so very clearly based off of a previous game, made by a completely different team of people.

Another troll spotted --'. Did someone forced you to play that game? In many aspect StK in different from MK series. It will also have some unique features in the future. Moreover the way to drive looks more like Crash Team Racing imho. This game is also an opportunity for people who just can't pay games or want to play that kind of game on Pc. Stop trolling please open source software just don't need people like you ;). And for newcomers Battle for Wesnoth and 0AD are also two promizing games!
