Making a Difference Through Grants: Impact Coffee, Urban Youth Impact

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties provides grants that support intergenerational and economic development programs such as Urban Youth Impact's "Impact Coffee" Project. Impact Coffee is an innovative response to a community need. Many students who participate in Urban Youth Impact are vulnerable to selling drugs once they reach high school as a way to support their families. This project provides an opportunity for those youth to develop entrepreneurial skills that will utlimately provide a background for future employment. All staff of Impact Coffee are students. The students are instructed by Robert Craven, a local businessman. In this video, staff and students explain the various aspects of the program.
