a long winded note from me: A memorial song for a stranger. I suppose an indication
of compassion is somber remembrance. I see the sites of
known places where strangers perished on roadways,
and I think of them, their families. I just do, I always
have. I suppose the thinking itself is a little like an un-
spoken prayer, just the simple act of remembering.
I think compassion is critical, and that it is rather scary to
know that there is a large degree of callousness in the
world these days. It can be seen right here, in this YT forum,
--too bad it cannot be sorted out, so you could stand on one side of the fence or the other...I'd be all for a bully-less
As**ole-less YouTube!! (easily seen in callous, violent, heartless postings, crude comments that make you wince)..
However, what is here, is the "real world" and it's occupants, in all their glory, the good the bad, the ugly.........a giant experiment in humanity, under the microscope. This song is a sung lament/prayer. This is just one of many sad cases that crosses the news all too often, these days. This was close to home, the paint and stains, I've witnessed, in my travels.
I could not let go the one who perished, till I knew his name, which followed as public notice, some weeks later. There were numerous additional victims in this instance and terrible occasion..these musings go out as well, to those so affected; they are of course, every bit as much, figured in. "Life is never the same", after. And I doubt we will ever learn.We will continue to use booze that can kill. I've seen it three times personally: booze kills, and usually in a very unpretty fashion. Drink in moderation is a thin line that some people, simply cannot walk. In addition, pharmaceutical prescriptions are the root of many sad stories, and factor into personal tragedies. Blame the user? We all have free will, and of course must accept responsibility for our choices and actions. But those making the booze and drugs, ...are they to blame as well,...just a little bit? and the doctors pushing the pencil round the prescrip pad? and the manufacturers and advertisers who make "cute" and eye appealing booze, that attracts kids and adults alike, and tastes like fruitjuice? Easy to serve the highly sought after $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, folks. Hard to be the medical tech whose job it is to pick up the mangled pieces of a human body in the attendance of a horrific accident. There is no way to know the circumstances of an individual case being the casual bystander, ONLY KNOWN
is that healing, therapy, forgiveness must all come into play, in the time past the event itself for all those truly involved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks so much for listening, even to "the sad songs",,,,no comments, outa reverence.. ,..I compose and carry out a song like this because it is my source of comfort, and it allows me to speak from the heart......and MAYBE, someone else will relate to this, and find comfort in this posted expression of compassion.
