  • what movie is 1:05?

  • @moviebuddy14 - The Matrix Revolutions

  • Very impresive! I'm kinda looking in the same way of making vfx and i got to ask this question..

Can you tell wich collage/school did you graduate?

  • @hackerisslv - I graduated from the University of Toronto in 1987, with a Comp Sci degree. I hung out at the graduate level graphics lab (dgp) a lot! I also studied film for two years at York University (also Toronto) before I discovered computer graphics in 1982, and decided to drop strictly studying film and pursue CG somehow (thus UofT). There are FAR more choices for the aspiring CG artist these days. I think the Savannah College of Art and Design has a good program for one.

  • @BXBProductions - I freelance at ILM from time to time but run my own production company. I just finished work on the new Pirates 4 movie. ILM is a great place to work!

My advice is play around - try different things, you are still young and you should sample as many aspects of doing CG as you can. Forget AE - learn nuke. Also - never forget this discipline is first and foremost film-making, follow that exploration where it takes you. Don't specialize yet - learn it all and have FUN!!

  • @garuchirazuman - Thank you very much, I really appreciate the kind words but I can't say I was behind these blockbusters, just a part of them. The teams of talented people behind each film is truly staggering - you've sat around for the credits I assume? :-) They do go on, and on - but everyone on the credits poured a ton of energy into the film. The teamwork and coordination required to have a film come together is impressive to see firsthand. Best of luck with your new adventures in 3d!

  • very good cgi+vfx

  • I always thought the Battle for Zion in the Matrix Revolutions when it first came out was a marvel to look at. Even today watching the bluray version, it still holds up well for a movie that came out in 2003. Really I think the CG done in all of the matrix films was done well.

  • What movie is 0:20?

  • @orangeImagination thnx for reply ;)
